Houda Ghorbel’s practice spans drawing and painting, ceramic sculptures and installations, living earth and plants, and photography and videography. Thematically, her artistic research centers on psyche and self-reflection, personal memory and cultural heritage, socio-cultural entanglement and responsibility, democratic culture, and freedom of expression.
EXHIBITIONS with Wadi Mhiri
Houda Ghorbel and Wadi Mhiri have been working as an artistic tandem dedicated to sociocultural, political, religious, and philosophical issues. Their joint work benefits from their profound knowledge of traditional crafts such as weaving, tailoring, and pottery. It encompassed installation and site-responsive interventions composed with light and light-responsive materials, photography and videography, ceramics, and textiles.
