Gruppo N was an Italian artist’s network, active from 1959 to 1967. It was founded in Padua and featured kinetic, light and programmed art, closely related to the ideas of optical perception, movement, and viewer participation.
Gruppo N was active during the 1960s and played a significant role in the international “New Tendencies” movement, which brought together artists interested in technology, science, and systematic approaches to art.
