The Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visuel (GRAV) was active in Paris from 1960 to 1968 specializing in opto-kinetic visual art. They were a pioneering collective who emphasized collective artistic identity, scientific experimentation, and viewer participation as central to the art experience. Notable projects include their 1963 Labyrinth at the Paris Biennale and “A Day in the Street” in 1966, which involved playful and kinetic activities for passersby.
