ALESSANDRO LUPI
Alessandro Lupi is a Genoa-born and raised multimedia artist who works in Berlin. His works often deal with space and spatiality, and giving new, surprising point of views on it. Reflections – mirrors or otherwise – are crucial in this play of seeing. Light and shadows often play an important role as well – even if there might not be light in the artwork itself.
A good example of Lupi’s work is Fragments of reality (orig. 2015), where small round mirrors are attached to streches of wire through the air, and they reflect the existing light, flickering like stars. The very analog and extremely sustainable artwork has been widely displayed, especially in light art festivals.
